After 10.5 months of captivity, on August 27, 2024, the IDF announced it rescued Hamas hostage Farhan al-Qadi from southern Gaza. He is reportedly in good condition, according to initial medical assessments. Below are the initial reports of his capture:
Farhan al-Qadi, 52, has been missing since October 7, when Hamas terrorists attacked communities and towns near the Gaza border.
Al-Qadi, who lives in the Al Qasoum area near the predominantly Arab Bedouin city of Rahat, was working as a guard on Saturday morning at the Kibbutz Magen packing house.
He has two wives and is the father of 11 children.
Al-Qadi hasn’t been heard from since 8 a.m. on Saturday morning, according to the Citizens of Bedouin Society Victims Forum in the Negev.
